Now you may ask what those qualities are that differentiates Pure Infant from other baby soaps.

• Regular soaps are manufactured by mixing caustic soda with fats of either animal or vegetable origin. The chemical reaction results in two by-products, soap and glycerine. The glycerine is removed and you buy the soap. This soap contains un-reacted caustic soda which then reacts with the oils in your skin, causing your skin to dry out.

However, Pure Soap and Pure Infant Soap are made by mixing caustic soda with vegetable oils, and the glycerine is left in the formulation. Furthermore, our unique method of manufacture results in no un-reacted caustic soda, but only unreacted fatty acids which moisturise your skin.

• DEFENSIL® is a unique combination of plant extracts (Cardiospermum Halicacabum, Echium Plantagineum and Helianthus Annuus) that gives protection to sensitive and demanding skin and acts preventatively against skin irritations like nappy rash. It has an inflammation inhibitory effect, thus strengthening the barriers of the skin.

• Pure Infant contains no petroleum jelly. The safety of using petroleum jelly and petroleum derived raw materials has been brought into question. In order to prevent any harm to your baby, Pure Infant Glycerine Soap is guaranteed not to contain any of these ingredients.
